Sweet Lou Arrives in New Zealand
/Woodlands Stud is pleased to confirm that champion stallion Sweet Lou has safely arrived in New Zealand following a short delay to his planned journey from North America.
Sweet Lou’s arrival was delayed after he became lame in a hind leg while in quarantine awaiting departure. The issue was identified quickly and, with his health and welfare the priority, the decision was made for him to remain in North America and continue his recovery before travelling.
Thankfully, Sweet Lou continued to improve well, gained his required vet certificate and has now completed the journey safely. He will do his required two-week quarantine before arriving at Woodlands Stud, where he is expected to be available for breeding duties from Wednesday, September 23.
Woodlands Stud thanks breeders for their patience and understanding during the delay and looks forward to welcoming Sweet Lou back to the farm and another exciting breeding season ahead.
