Woodlands Stud’s semen shipping arrangements for the 2026/27 season will remain much the same as last year, with our stallions standing in the flesh here at our Auckland farm.
As previously advised, Sweet Lou semen won't be available until later in September, following his delayed arrival from North America.

We’ll once again be working to a Monday, Wednesday and Friday collection and shipping schedule, with orders required by 2pm on the day prior:
🇳🇿 New Zealand-based mares: 2pm NZT Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday
🇦🇺 Australian-based mares: 2pm AEST Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday
Orders are to continue being placed via the usual channels.
Downbytheseaside has arrived safely in New Zealand and is currently completing his required quarantine period in Auckland. He will arrive on farm tomorrow (1st September), where he will join our resident stallions Bettor’s Delight, Lather Up and Speeding Spur who have all come through winter terrifically.
For New Zealand breeders looking to access frozen semen from American Ideal, only limited quantities remain available. Please contact Cameron Grant directly as soon as possible to secure access.
