Woodlands Weanling On-Farm Parade
/Woodlands Stud will open its gates to buyers and industry participants on Saturday, May 9, 2026, hosting a Weanling Parade at its Hamlin Road property ahead of the upcoming Gavelhouse Standardbred Online Weanling Sale running from 13th-20th May 2026.
The parade will begin at 11:00am at 60 Hamlin Road, Papakura, offering attendees the opportunity to view Woodlands Stud’s 2026 draft of 22 weanlings, alongside five weanlings from Alabar, in a relaxed, on-farm setting.
The draft features an exciting mix of progeny by proven and emerging sires including Bettor’s Delight, Downbytheseaside, Lather Up, Sweet Lou, What The Hill, and King Of The North, out of strong, performance-based maternal families. The youngsters have been raised on quality pastures with regular handling and with a focus on type and temperament.
The on-farm parade provides buyers with a valuable opportunity to assess the weanlings in person ahead of the Gavelhouse Standardbred Online Weanling Sale (May 13–20), as well as speak directly with the Woodlands team about the draft.
“With the sale moving online this year, it’s important to us that buyers still have the chance to inspect the horses in person,” said Woodlands Stud’s Stacey White. “The parade is a great opportunity to see the whole draft and also enjoy some of Woodlands Stud’s hospitality.”
Woodlands Stud has built a strong reputation for producing high-quality racehorses, with recent graduates of its weanling drafts including Group 1 winners Debbie Lincoln, Aardiebytheseaside, Fugitive, Ya Rite Darl and Christopher Dance.
