LEAP TO FAME MAKES HISTORY IN INTER-DOMINION GRAND FINAL

LEAP TO FAME - THE CREEK

You never consider it a good thing until it’s done, however Leap To Fame (Bettor’s Delight) stood up to his $1.22 in the Inter-Dominion Grand Final at Albion Park on Saturday night with ease making it his second Inter-Dominion.

Owners Kevin and Kay Seymour also indicated that he will continue racing for the next year as long as things go to plan which is great for Australasian harness racing as he aims to add the New Zealand Cup to his trophy cabinet and if he can add another Inter Dominion he will be one of only three who have done so.

Home in 53 over the longer distance of 3157m at Albion Park he showed his class, pretty impressive going from the shorter distances to then run a 1.57 mile rate over near two miles, another great effort by trainer/driver Grant Dixon.

Winning this made Leap To Fame the richest horse in Australasian history now with $4,630,884 and 56 wins from 69 starts, incredible.

200 WINNERS FOR DOWNBYTHESEASIDE

Another milestone for the son of Somebeachsomewhere, making it 200 individual winners in Australasia with Boulders Beach (Art Major mare) winning at Redcliffe.

Downbytheseaside leads both countries with the most individual 2YO winners showing he shouldn’t be over looked going into the upcoming breeding season with the results he is having! Be in touch today as you don’t want to miss a chance to breed to him for this season.

10 IN A ROW FOR EYE KEEP SMILING - ANOTHER GROUP 1 FOR SWEET LOU

  •

  • The hottest sire on the planet gets another Group 1 to his name by arguably the best mare in Australasia, Eye Keep Smiling. Another dual of the Sweet Lou daughters Steno and Eye Keep Smiling left Steno adding another Group 1 placing but couldn’t quite match the Luke McCarthy trained and Success Stud – Jackie Gibson owned Eye Keep Smiling’s performance.

This has taken her career statistics to 38 starts, 27 wins and 5 minor placings for $777,983, simply quite amazing for a mare in this part of the world.

FIRST GROUP 1 FOR SOHO AMERICANO

Robert Watson, co-breeder and owner will be all smiles after Soho Americano’s (American Ideal) performance winning her first Group 1 in the Queensland Oaks. She is going from strength to strength the daughter of American Ideal and taking it all in her stride.

This takes her lifetime statistics to 22 starts, 11 wins and 9 minor placings with $253,563 in the bank, Group 1 and Group 3 victories to her name.
