2025 WOODLANDS YEARLING WRAP
Yearling Sales Season is always a highlight of the year for us here at Woodlands Stud, and we were proud to present another exceptional draft at the NZB Standardbred Yearling Sale in Auckland last week.
Our draft comprised 32 yearlings, 28 colts and four fillies, and we are delighted to report that all but one has now sold, with negotiations underway on the final lot. This outcome reflects our longstanding commitment to being genuine sellers who meet the market with realistic reserves.
This year’s results were especially pleasing, with four yearlings surpassing the $100,000 mark and many achieving prices well beyond expectations. These outcomes highlight the continued confidence buyers place in the Woodlands brand and the consistent quality of the horses we proudly present.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who visited us, inspected our draft, bid with enthusiasm, and ultimately secured one of our yearlings across the sale weekend. Your support is deeply appreciated.
We also acknowledge our hardworking and dedicated team. Sale time demands early mornings, long days, and unwavering attention to detail, and these results would not have been possible without their professionalism, care, and commitment.
We now eagerly anticipate following the careers of these young horses and look forward to cheering them on as they strive to continue our proud Group 1-winning legacy.

Beyond our own draft, we were equally proud to see the outstanding results achieved by progeny of Woodlands sires throughout the sale. Their success is our success, and it was particularly rewarding to see 16 Woodlands-sired yearlings realise six-figure prices, a strong endorsement of the continued demand for the progeny of our World-Class sires.
