AMERICAN IDEAL REWARDING LOYAL SUPPORTERS
He may not be around anymore but American Ideal is rewarding loyal supporters especially in Australia where he lived out his final shuttling years at Llowalong Farms.

A treble on Saturday night at Albion Park was just what the doctor ordered. Amylee (Bettor's Delight dam) the 2YO daughter of American Ideal showed her class for trainer/driver Grant Dixon in the APG Brisbane Sales Graduate Final winning the $100,000 showdown in a nail biter. Owners/breeders Kevin and Kay Seymour already had a good start to the night with Leap To Fame doing what he does best winning race 2, home in 54 under a hold, so getting a double winning the APG Final was fantastic for duo.

In uncommon circumstances in the Group 2 The Hayden (216,000), Call To Order (Mr Feelgood dam) lodged a protest on leader Attachment who run in over him which was upheld by Stewards giving the 4yo son of American Ideal his biggest career win to date, giving Kevin and Kay Seymour another win making it a treble of their own with Woodlands Stud Stallions!

The final American Ideal winner for the night was the very good up and comer Soho Americano (Art Major dam), for trainer Michael Stanley and owner Robert Watson, this filly now has a very tidy resume going, 9 wins from 19 starts, with a further 7 minor placings and over $150,000 in the bank.

PENNY BLACK CONTINUES STRONG WA FORM

The daughter of Sweet Lou bred my Martin and Maureen Pierson of New Zealand continues to impress for trainer Michael Young and her Western Australian ownership group. She notched up Group 3 success in the Kerry Clark on Friday night at Gloucester Park making it win number 13 from start 30 and adding a further 9 placings and $245,000 in the locker.

This mare matured as a late 3 year old and hasn’t looked back since, getting around Gloucester Park without an issue for the big mare she will look to keep climbing the fillies and mares ranks but she doesn’t have much more to go to reach the top! This was her third Group 3 success and she also has tasted Listed success so let’s hope she can notch up the elusive Group 1.

WOODLANDS BRED SUCCESS CONTINUES

Woodlands Stud may not only be one of the power house studs in Australasia but keeps racking up the winners they are breeding themselves.

Woodlands syndicate horse Wicked Wanda (Sweet Lou) notched up her 6th victory and edged closer to the $100,000 lifetime earning mark. Hillbilly Blues (What The Hill) got win number four for her connections as well Friday night at the Park, with $60,000 in earnings now to his name he is a nice trotter in the making.

Sugar Babe (Sweet Lou) for Cran and Chrissie Dalgety notched up another Woodlands bred winner at Addington on Friday night, being out of a full sister (Bettor Babe) to the very good Spanish Armada has got off to a great start in the breeding shed.
